Welcome to Christ's College Hospitality

We are delighted that you have chosen to stay with us and we hope you have an enjoyable time. Below are some things you that you may wish to consider when packing. Things you may need to bring • Hairdryer/ Straighteners • Camera or binoculars • UK adaptable plug if travelling from abroad • We do not provide television , so if you like watching news, sports or Netflix you may want to bring a tablet. Things you don’t need to bring • Bed linen, bedspread, bath towels and hand towels • Hand soap, hair and body wash, conditioner • Toilet paper, Tissues • Selection of teabag, regular and decaffeinated coffee, sugar and milk Directions to the college can be found here. Please note there is no parking on-site and we recommend using public transport. Our Porters are looking forward to greeting you on your arrival at the Porter’s Lodge.

There is no parking on-site at Christ’s College. We recommend guests use public transport to visit us There are several Park and Ride sites located outside the city centre with frequent buses into Cambridge. If you are travelling by car we recommend that visitors use these facilities whenever possible. You can leave the car at the Park and Ride sites overnight but there is a charge. If you do decide to venture in and park in town the closest car park to Christ’s is the Grand Arcade or the Grafton Centre, however, do be aware that parking in Cambridge city centre car parks can be difficult (these city centre car parks are often full) and is also expensive. Cambridge city centre is often very congested indeed, particularly around rush hours and school run times (around 3.30 pm), when you tend to get stuck in a long queue. ). Be careful driving centrally as there are some bus gates, which will result in a fine if you go through them!

Check In:

Our check-in time is from 14:00. If you have arrived early for various reasons you can leave your luggage in the Porters’ Lodge and have a wander around our fabulous grounds or have a bite to eat or a drink at our Buttery while waiting for your room.

In the event of a fire

Please familiarise yourself with the College Fire Regulations – these are found on either the bedroom or wardrobe door.  Should the fire alarm sound – a continuous ringing bell – please make your way to the nearest FIRE EXIT.

Other Emergencies

The Porter’s Lodge is located at the front of the College and is manned 24 hours a day. Should you need medical or any other assistance they can be contacted on 01223 334900.
