Anglesey Abbey – National Trust
Located just outside Cambridge you can visit the historic House and beautiful gardens for pretty Easter views. There’s also an adventure trail for Children set in the woods of the Abbey along with a fantastic giant treehouse perfect for the little ones to explore.
There is an Easter Egg trail taking place between Saturday 5 April to Monday 21 April 2025, from 9.30 – 3.30 pm, set in the beautiful gardens of Anglesey Abbey. The price of the trail is £3.50 per child and includes a trail map, bunny ears, and a chocolate egg at the end. Booking is not needed.
Wimpole Hall Farm – National Trust
Visit Wimpole Hall Farm in Cambridgeshire and experience the countryside in all its glory! Explore the farm, take a stroll around the grounds, and discover why this National Trust property has been part of Britain’s landscape for centuries. Experience nature at its finest and don’t forget to stop by the tearoom for a treat after your adventure. Depending on the time of year you can also see the newborn spring lambs!

Shepreth Wildlife Park
This little gem of a wildlife park is fantastic and allows you to get up close to some amazing animals. Keep a look out for the cute otters and see if you can spot the maned wolf. It’s easy to travel to on the train and is a short way from the station, or there is plenty of parking on-site if you wish to drive.
Kettle’s Yard
There are some great exhibitions taking place at Kettle’s Yard and The Gallery hold a variety of events for young children which can be found here. Admission is free but tickets need to be booked
Fitzwilliam Museum
The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge is one of the finest art and antiquities collections in Europe. With over half a million works of art, it’s a must-see destination for any traveller visiting Cambridge. From its famous Chinese Porcelain to its incredible Egyptian mummy, there’s something here for everyone.
From 21st February – 1st June 2025 the Rise Up exhibition will be taking place looking at the history of the fight to end transatlantic slavery through the stories of the people, communities and anti-slavery movements who campaigned for abolition in the face of oppression and opposition.
Burwell Museum
The Burwell Museum is about a 25 minute’s drive from Cambridge City Centre. The museum depicts life through the centuries on the edge of the Cambridgeshire Fens and includes a Windmill, rare vintage vehicles and an old schoolroom. Opened in 1992, it is housed in a collection of different periods and period-style agricultural buildings.
This Easter they have an Easter fun weekend taking place which includes an Egg hunt, Easter Bonnet competition, and windmill tours. Taking place on Easter Sunday April 20th 10-4pm.

This historic Iron Age hill fort in Cambridge, UK is a great place to explore and experience local history. Make sure you check out the herd of Highland cows who help keep the meadows in good condition.
South Angle Farm Park
At this Farm you can feed many of the animals by hand, including llamas, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and geese, as well as enjoy rabbits, guinea pigs, donkeys and tortoises and many others. The Farm also includes over 17 acres of beautiful farm walks and trails.
It is open over the Easter period and they often have special Easter activities on for children.
