MAY FESTIVALS IN CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge Beer Festival

19th May – 24th May 2025

180+ real ales, 80+ ciders and perries, international beer, mead, wine, and cheese.

JUNE FESTIVALS IN CAMBRIDGE

Strawberry Fair

7th June 2025

Strawberry Fair is an annual music and arts festival held in Cambridge, UK. The fair takes place on Midsummer Common and typically features multiple stages with various musical performances ranging from rock and indie to folk and world music. There are also activities such as workshops, art installations, street performers, and food stalls offering a variety of cuisines.

Strawberry Fair has been a beloved tradition in Cambridge. It is a community-run event, with volunteers helping to organize and run the fair. The festival is known for its inclusive and diverse atmosphere, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and celebrate music and art.

Cambridge Club Festival

7th – 9th June 2025

Looking for a weekend of disco, glitterball, and fun this is one of the newest festivals in Cambridge that will take you on a journey of disco and discovery. The festival takes place at the beautiful Childerley Orchard, just outside Cambridge, and is renowned for serving up iconic artists, family fun, and non-stop entertainment – with a wide range of arts, culture, and exhilarating music on offer each June.

You can book tickets for the day or the weekend and there’s a fantastic line-up for 2024, including Chaka Khan, Jessie Ware, Earth, Wind and Fire Experience. There are plenty of acts performing that will keep you dancing all night long!

JULY FESTIVALS IN CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge Summer Music Festival

3rd – 31st July 2025

Since 1980, Cambridge Summer Music (CSM) has brought world-class music and musicians to Cambridge for the enjoyment of everyone in the city and the wider area.

This is one of the more established festivals in Cambridge. All the concerts are presented in historic and beautiful venues, including college chapels, city churches, concert halls, and the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. These venues offer opportunities for audiences to visit and experience wonderful Cambridge places and spaces, such as College chapels and precincts, to which they might otherwise have little access.

The Shelford Feast

5th – 12th July 2025

A week of music, comedy, food, and drink in Great Shelford. Acts tbc. A little gem of a Festival/Feast, which is not too far away from the centre of Cambridge and a walk away from Shelford Train Station.

Ely Folk Festival

11th – 13th July 2025

Featuring a line-up of talented folk musicians from around the UK and beyond, Ely Folk Festival promises a weekend filled with toe-tapping tunes and captivating performances. From traditional ballads to contemporary folk fusion, the festival offers something for every musical taste.

In between sets, festival-goers can explore the beautiful surroundings of the Ely area, with its historic cathedral, charming shops and cafes, and peaceful riverside walks. For those looking to get more involved, there are plenty of opportunities to take part in workshops, dance classes, and jam sessions.

Acts for 2025 include, Dhol Foundation, Oysterband, Martin Simpson, Blackbeard’s Tea Party, Magpie Arc, Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys, Fred’s House, Maddie Morris….

Cambridge Folk Festival

31st July – 3 Aug 2025

Firstly, one of the most popular and well-known festivals in Cambridge is the Cambridge Folk Festival which has been running for almost five decades, showcasing the very best of folk, acoustic, and roots music from both UK and international artists. 

Adding to 2024’s rich programme are: duo Allison De Groot & Tatiana Hargreaves on banjo and fiddle, who won Instrumental Group of the Year and Traditional Album of the Year at the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Brighton-based singer-songwriter, Bess Atwell, is supporting The National in June and July – and the fast-rising folk-rockers latest album ‘Light Sleeper’ is produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner.

The Secret Garden Party

25th – 28th July 2024

This Festival has something for everyone and this year’s theme is roots, and with lots of smaller intimate stages it will mean a chance to get up close to these live acts. Acts include, Unkle, Crystal Fighters, Beans on Toast, and many more some of which are still secret…. 

AUGUST FESTIVALS IN CAMBRIDGE

Sausage and Cider Festival

14th July 2025

The Sausage & Cider Festival returns to Cambridge for the third time in 2025. With a lineup of incredible tribute acts, street food vendors, and up to 30 different ciders available on site.

Cambridge Rock Festival 

31st July – 3rd August 2025

Cambridge Rock Festival is run by volunteer music fans and has a fantastically relaxed atmosphere. The festival will take place at Harlocks Farm, Stuntney near Ely. Acts for 2025 are still tbc.

The event has also supported many local breweries by running its own real-ale and farmhouse cider bar, with typically 80+ choices available each year. The festival takes place in August and most people camp for the full three days.
