Strawberry Fair

6th June 2026

Strawberry Fair is back for 2026. One of Cambridge’s most iconic events. Strawberry Fair is a free, volunteer‑run arts and music festival with multiple stages, grassroots bands, DJs, performance art, community stalls and a proudly alternative spirit. Expect everything from folk and ska to punk, reggae and electronic sounds. Free entry.

Sausage and Cider Festival

13th June 2026

The Sausage & Cider Festival returns to Cambridge for the fourt time in 2026. With a lineup of incredible tribute acts, including UB40 (Tribute), Queen (Tribute) and Kings Of Leon (Tribute), street food vendors, and up to 30 different ciders available on site.

Cambridge Pride

This normally includes a variety of acts, which are confirmed nearer the time. Keep a look out on the website for further details.

Wildwood Festival 

19-21 June 2026

A little woodland party on the ouskirts of Cambridge. Acts for 2026 include AUntie Flo, Call Super, Optimo and many more.

July Festivals in Cambridge

Cambridge Summer Music Festival

3rd – 31st July 2026

Since 1980, Cambridge Summer Music (CSM) has brought world-class music and musicians to Cambridge for the enjoyment of everyone in the city and the wider area.

This is one of the more established festivals in Cambridge. All the concerts are presented in historic and beautiful venues, including college chapels, city churches, concert halls, and the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. These venues offer opportunities for audiences to visit and experience wonderful Cambridge places and spaces, such as College chapels and precincts, to which they might otherwise have little access.

The Shelford Feast

4th – 11th July 2026

A week of music, comedy, food, and drink in Great Shelford. Acts tbc. A little gem of a Festival/Feast, which is not too far away from the centre of Cambridge and a walk away from Shelford Train Station.

Ely Folk Festival

10th – 12th July 2026

Celebrate 40 years if the Ely Folk Festival! Featuring a line-up of talented folk musicians from around the UK and beyond, Ely Folk Festival promises a weekend filled with toe-tapping tunes and captivating performances. From traditional ballads to contemporary folk fusion, the festival offers something for every musical taste.

In between sets, festival-goers can explore the beautiful surroundings of the Ely area, with its historic cathedral, charming shops and cafes, and peaceful riverside walks. For those looking to get more involved, there are plenty of opportunities to take part in workshops, dance classes, and jam sessions.

August Festivals in Cambridge

Cambridge Folk Festival

1st – 2nd August 2026

It’s back for 2026!

The highlight of 2026 will be the Cambridge Folk Festival weekend at Cherry Hinton Hall, running from 1–2 August. Set in the festival’s spiritual home, this more intimate gathering returns to its roots, with two full days of live music and activities, plus the option of three-night camping. Saturday night headliner Frank Turner is one of the UK’s most successful artists. Suzanne Vega will co-headline Sunday night. Famous for worldwide hits such as Luka and Tom’s Diner.

The Magic of Thailand

1st – 2nd August 2026

This two-day event celebrates Thai culture with a focus on food, dancing and music. The festival takes place on Parker’s Piece in Cambridge. Tickets are from, £5.00 and are available on the day.

Cambridge Rock Festival 

30th July – 2nd August 2026

Cambridge Rock Festival is run by volunteer music fans and has a fantastically relaxed atmosphere. The festival will take place at Harlocks Farm, Stuntney near Ely. Acts for 2026 are still tbc.

The event has also supported many local breweries by running its own real-ale and farmhouse cider bar, with typically 80+ choices available each year. The festival takes place in August and most people camp for the full three days.
