We were staying for my 50th birthday so wanted someone reasonably priced and central. Christ’s College was a perfect central location yet felt like miles away from the hustle and bustle of town. the breakfast was amazing with something for everyone and all staff were really friendly and helpful. Will certainly be recommending to anyone wanting somewhere to stay!
The room was a pretty standard dorm room in layout, with a comfortable bed and two good pillows. The bathroom and shower were quite small. The location is quite central, but one benefits from the quiet setting on the college’s grounds. The room was accessed by taking a couple of flights of stairs — people with heavy luggage or physical impairments might find it hard to deal with the stairs. I suppose heavy luggage could be left in the luggage room near the Porters’ Lodge. My room was big and the view was great. A lot of storage.
There is tea and cookies and coffee and towels and shower gel, shampoo and soap.
The location is top and everyone was super friendly.
You get a lot of wear and tear, which is fine. The walls are full of left over stickers and dents and the carpet got some stains.
I lived in student accommodations before, the shared bathroom did not bother me that much. It was not busy.
I still wished there would be at least a sink in the room though.
I could not connect to the WiFi, that was a bummer.
Overall alright for one night
